Wow! I found a Selden & Griswold catalog from 1885! It is 46 pages, and available online for free public download. This is the first time I have seen this one. Selden & Griswold, of course, was the precursor company to the Griswold Manufacturing Company of Erie, Pennsylvania.
The old catalogs, of course, are invaluable to collectors and historians. This is a great find.
Inscribed on the inside cover is “To C.A.M. from Marvin E. Griswold.” Presumably, C.A.M. refers to Charles A. Massing, an integral figure at the company. Marvin E. Griswold, of course, was one of the sons of Matthew Griswold, founder of the Griswold Mfg. Co. Marvin Griswold served as president of the company from 1912 to 1926.
