Griswold Vintage Cast Iron Skillet Price List – Current September 3, 2025

I have prepared a 3-page .pdf that shows sale prices for vintage and antique Griswold black cast-iron skillets, sizes 0-20. The data in the table has been compiled from five auctions that were held between February 17, 2022 and August 24, 2025, as well as eBay sold listings from late May 2025 – September 2, 2025.

What is included in the Griswold Skillet Price List?

What is not included in the Griswold Skillet Price List?

  • Every single Griswold skillet that sold between 2022 and 2025. I included prices for skillets from sources that were easy for me to access.5
  • Any costs added after the high bid/purchase price such as a buyer’s premium, sales tax, shipping or handling charge, etc. 6
  • Skillets with an original Griswold label attached. Such a skillet, in new condition with the original label attached, garners an additional premium.
  • Skillets that have a pattern number other than those noted above.
  • Plated, hammered, enameled, wood-handled, aluminum, 3-hole-handle, extra-deep, bailed handle, milled bottom, hinged skillets. Pans without the Griswold name incised on the bottom (e.g., “ERIE” skillets, Victor, Iron Mountain, etc.), skillets with different trademarks/logos than those noted (e.g., diamond logo, “Griswold’s ERIE”, etc.), skillets with names on them in addition to Griswold (i.e,. ghost marks, Eagle Stove Works).
  • Skillets with apparent damage, such as a crack or pitting.
  • Skillets that appeared to need significant cleaning before they would be suitable for use.7
  • Skillets marked “Griswold” that were manufactured after 1957 when the Erie, Pennsylvania, foundry closed. Examples include double-logo pieces or skillets with the number of inches spelled out beneath a Griswold logo, e.g. “11-1/4 INCH SKILLET.”
  • Multiple skillets sold in one lot where individual skillet prices could not be determined. Exception: two same-sized identically-marked Griswold skillets in similar condition purchased in one lot. In that case, the selling price was split in half, and each price was noted.
  • Skillets that were sold along with a lid/cover, where it was impossible to assign a selling price for each piece.
  • Items sold on eBay outside of the 90 days preceding the query date. “Buy it Now” listings that were sold as “Best Offer Accepted,” where the actual price paid is not known.

How to Read the Table

The far left column of the table has the skillet number (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 20) and associated pattern number.

The top header line has the defining characteristics at the bottom of the skillet – e.g. what trademark/logo etc. Beneath the header line are skillet photos showing an example of the characteristics. The table sections below each photo have prices paid for those skillets. Prices are rounded to the nearest dollar.

Considerations as you Review the Table

  • I did not see any of the skillets in person. My determination as to condition or damage was based solely on any description in the listing and a cursory review of the photo(s) provided.
  • An ellipsis after many eBay numbers indicates that more items had sold. In that case, I determined that enough sales were noted to provide a representative sample.
  • I did not evaluate whether a skillet was warped.
  • The queries run on eBay were for “Griswold” and “skillet” along with the skillet size number. If the eBay title did not contain those three things or there was a typographical error, no result would have been returned.
  • Of course, there were more Griswold skillets sold at other venues and on different dates than just those included in the table. The numbers included in the table (Dinkys, Airworks, and eBay) were simply those that were easiest for me to access.
  • I did not make any distinction between early, late, and grooved handle small logo skillets, or any other handle variation, in the price list.

  2. “Prices realized” means the winning bid (for an auction listing), or “Buy it Now” price.
  3. Not all results from this auction are included.
  4. Searches for sold items on eBay are limited to the 90 days preceding the date of the query. For example, if a query is run for sold prices on September 1, 2025, it will return results for sales between June 1, 2025, and September 1, 2025. I ran queries for different skillets (i.e. not every size skillet each day) on August 25, 26, 29, and 30, and September 2, 2025. The query run was “Griswold skillet X (X being the skillet number). If a listing did not have those three words in the title, no result would be returned.
  5. Is it possible that I missed a pan price or three? Yes. Could I have inadvertantly put an incorrect color designation on a sale price? Yes. I wasn’t striving for perfection; I was looking for a representative sample.
  6. The vast majority of cast iron items listed on eBay add a shipping charge after purchase, though some may offer free shipping. The table does not differentiate between an eBay listing that offered free shipping and one that did not.
  7. The standard I applied was, “Would I cook in this pan after a quick scrub?” If the answer was “No,” I did not include the selling price in the table. I realize that this is completely subjective, but I had to start somewhere. ;)
