Air Works has a large annual Spring auction that includes hundreds of pieces of cast iron in addition to a wide variety of other goods. The auction is held in Millersburg, Ohio. It features both online and in-person bidding over the course of several days.
I’ve made many other posts about large cast iron auctions including prices realized at cast iron auctions; take a look at the category “Auctions” to check some of them out. It’s educational to take a look at realized prices; it helps to get a good feel for what is a “reasonable” price when you see iron for sale.
This year, the Air Works auction was held on the weekend of February 14, 2025. Here are the top prices realized for vintage and antique cast iron cookware.1 All information and the photos below are from the Air Works online catalog on Proxibid.
- Griswold cast iron skillet, pattern number 411, slant logo “ERIE” with heat ring. Sold for $9,750.

2. Griswold cast iron “ERIE” “Spider” skillet number 8 with heat ring sold for $4,000. Note the pitting and wear to the spider.


3. Griswold large block logo number 13 cast iron skillet with heat ring, pattern number 716. Noted to have a “2-card” wobble (meaning that placing two business cards beneath the uneven part of the bottom stops the wobble). Sold for $3,300.
