Top Prices at July 2019 Cast Iron Auction

There were fourteen lots that sold for $500 or more at a July 2019 vintage and antique cast iron cookware auction.

Simmons and Co. Auctioneers held a two-day cast iron auction in Richmond Missouri on July 26 and 27, 2019. 726 pieces of vintage and cast iron and aluminum were sold. The pieces were from a long-time collector.

I followed along with the auction on Proxibid; I wasn’t able to attend this auction in person. I did manage to restrain myself from making any purchases. I’ve written before about the perils of bidding online during a live cast iron auction; the price of shipping being just one factor.

There were fourteen lots that brought $500 or more at the auction. All fourteen lots were sold to on-site (vs. online) bidders.

Without further ado, here they are!

Note: Many of the photos that were originally in this post have gone missing. If and when I locate them, I will add them back in. All product descriptions are from the Simmons catalog.
